A sizzling success!

THE Sub-Section sausage sizzle kiosk in the Bunnings Virginia car park today was a HUGE success!
Regularly, on certain weekends ever since the Superstore on Sandgate Road came online on Saturday, 21 December 2019, Sandgate Sub-Section has manned the tongs.
Our crew of stalwart volunteers served up several hundreds of the delicious snacks (a piping hot, barbecued sausage, served with or without fried onions, and your choice of condiment, on a slice of plain, white bread, served in a square of paper towel for a mere $3.50 each). Dozens and dozens of frosty cans of soft drinks and bottled water also flew off the counter between 9am and 2:30pm to queues of brunchtime-lunchtime-snacktime shoppers and passers-by!
When Sub-Section Treasurer and sausage sizzle stalwart, Darby Ashton – as usual – turned out with our familiar, purpose-built sky blue trailer, the queue formed early. Naturally, he was quite delighted with the takings come packing-up time.
And judging by the looks on their faces, punters generally seemed to have thoroughly enjoyed the fare on offer – right down to the last, viable snag!
